Developing First Marks
At Maritza's Day Care, we introduce foundational writing concepts through playful, tactile experiences. From identifying letters in their names to exploratory finger painting and tracing in sand trays, children develop the essential fine motor control and confidence needed for early literacy. These hands-on activities are carefully designed to make the transition to writing a natural and joy-filled part of their daily discovery.
Building a Love for Language
At Maritza’s Day Care, every story is a shared adventure. Our pre-reading program introduces children to phonological awareness and early literacy in a home environment that celebrates books and language.
Through daily read-alouds, interactive puppet play, and exposure to a print-rich setting, we nurture the communication skills toddlers need to confidently step into their future schooling.
